DGKN staff report
DALTON In conjunction with the Dalton Holidays Festival, the downtown and other local businesses are invited to join in a night to promote their products and services, meet potential customers and give back to the community through a fun-filled family event to kick off the local festivities and holiday season.
‘Gnome for the Holidays’ Business Open House will be 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6. Businesses will give out cards for people to take around and have signed in order to win raffle prizes. Each business participating will be asked to consider donating a prize, gift certificate or gift card. Raffle participants will mark whether the card is for an adult or child (12 and younger) to ensure all ages are included in the fun.
Other highlights of the night will be Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Dalton High School Show Choir (carolers), introduction of the new festival court, lighting winners — and food, and fun as the holidays are welcomed to the Dalton area.
Space will be available for businesses not located downtown. Arrangements will be made once organizers know how many businesses need to be accommodated.

To be included on the card, organizers will need to know who will be participating by Nov. 24.
