Kilmer, Peggy

SARASOTA, FL  Peggy Ann Kilmer, age 72, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Orrville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, following a period of declining health.

Peggy was born on July 12, 1947, in Medina, to the late Richard and Betty (Wagner) Jones, graduated from Central Christian High School in 1965, and attended nursing school where she received her LPN degree.  She married Wayne Charles Kilmer on May 15,1965, in Medina. Wayne passed away on May 3, 1978.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in healthcare for over 25 years, retiring in 2009.

Peggy was a former member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church in North Lawrence. She currently was attending Sarasota Community Church in Sarasota, Florida.

Surviving are four children, Carrie (Richard – dec.) Morris, Kenneth (Melissa) Kilmer, Catherine (James) Copley, and Kevin (Sunhee) Kilmer; nephew Andrew Jones; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Moran.

Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 14795 Wooster St. NW, North Lawrence, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
