Dalton’s wrestlers placed second as a team Saturday at the Austin Smiley Hillsdale Invite.
First place: Tate Geiser, Austin Ryder, Myron Miller; second place: Eric Miller; third place: Sean Geiser, Xavier Munsey; fourth place: Tristian McCourt; fifth place: Grant Johnson.
“We are by no means ‘there’ yet,” Head Coach Kenton Lemon said, “but our guys have been working really hard for the last three weeks and we are just focusing on getting better each day. This is the highest that we’ve placed in this tournament as a team so that’s definitely a feather in our cap. Also, Myron Miller got a few big wins to propel him to his first first place finish. Grant Johnson wrestled in the first competition of his life and ended up placing. We are excited to see where we are at next week at the WIT.”
