Multiple departments assist Orrville with blaze

ORRVILLE Fire destroyed the majority of a large garage/shop and its contents Monday afternoon near Back Massillon and Forrer roads. No injuries were reported. Multiple fire departments responded to fight the blaze.
Orrville Fire Department responded to a call at 3:18 p.m. and was notified of much visible black smoke. Before arriving on scene, the call was upgraded to a working structure fire, according to Orrville Firefighters Association Facebook page. When crews arrived, a building used as a garage and shop measuring approximately 20-by-40 feet had heavy smoke showing. The alarm was upgraded to a second alarm bringing in mutual aid units, including Rittman Fire and EMS, East Wayne Fire District, North Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department, Kidron Volunteer Fire Department and Central Fire District.
