Obit – Hodge, Jenson Gordon


Jenson Gordon Hodge, 4, of Apple Creek, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Akron Children’s Hospital.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Wes McElravy officiating.  The family requests that everyone who attends the service to wear Jenson’s favorite color green in his memory.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Online tributes may be made at   Memorial contributions may be made to the Hodge Family GoFundMe, or Wee Care Center, 424 E. Jenson was born September 10, 2015 in Wooster to Joshua and Trisha {Farriss} Hodge.

Jenson loved the Power Rangers, especially Tommy the Green Ranger, watching Marshall in Paw Patrol, and eating fruit snacks and popcorn.  He loved spending time with his brothers, who were his best friends, and taking care of his new baby sister.  Jenson was the sweetest boy, filling the lives of those who had the honor of being in his life with love, silliness, and a special light and warmth.  His beautiful smile and vivacious personality will be deeply missed.

Jenson will be deeply missed by parents of Apple Creek; maternal grandparents Todd and Myrna Farriss of Dalton; paternal grandparents Michael (Mary) Hodge of Wadsworth and Melissa Hodge of Akron; maternal great-grandparents Bill and Carol Farriss; brothers Landon and Carson Hodge; sister Havyn Hodge; aunt Heidi and Jared Pine of North Ridgeville; uncle Adrian Dixon of Athens and Shawn Hodge of Smithville.

Jenson was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents John and Donna Hodge, and maternal great-grandparents Ruth Moore and Howard Praeger.
