ORRVILLE — Nellie M. Hughes, age 70, of Orrville, died Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a long period of declining health.
Nellie was born on February 20, 1949, in Webb, West Virginia, to the late Paul and Nannie (Crum) Cecil. She worked as a Bartender and Waitress at the Sportsman’s Bar in Orrville for over 20 years. Nellie was a member of Rittman Community Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed painting, gardening, and making dream catchers.
Surviving are three children, Tammy, Regina, and Thomas Richard Hughes, all of Daytona, FL; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers, Dale Marcum of Orrville, Fred Cecil of Orrville, Eugene Cecil of Wooster, and Doug Cecil of Orrville; sister, Lisa (Jim) McClain of Hendersonville, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Hughes.
Friends may call on Monday, January 6, 2020, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Services will follow at 2:00 pm on Monday, at the funeral home, with Pastor John W. Castle officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
