Orrville — Nancy C. Alfred, age 82, of Orrville, died Thursday, January 9, 2020, at her residence, following a short illness.
Nancy was born on September 14, 1937, in Burton City, to the late Frank and Ethel (Campbell) Bailey and graduated from Orrville High School in 1955. She married Jimmy D. Alfred on June 12, 2003, in Wooster. Jimmy died on November 24, 2015.
Nancy was a member of Christ United Church of Christ and the Jelly City Senior Citizens. She was a former member of Mother’s Study Club and Garden Club. She enjoyed ceramics, flower gardening and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her son, Timothy (Alisha) Musser of Marshallville; step-son, Eric Alfred of Orrville; five grandchildren, Scott (Jessica) Musser, Kimberly (Jimmy) Hopsecger, Kelly (Joshua) Williams, Todd (Traci) Musser, and Brooke Musser; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, Paul (Diana) Bailey of Dalton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen “Kathy” Musser.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Christ United Church of Christ, 301 North Main Street, Orrville, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Memorial services will follow at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the church, with Rev. Dr. Michael H. Bone officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville at a later date.
