Lady Dawgs push win streak to 15

The win streak for Dalton High School’s varsity girls basketball team is still alive. With wins over Hillsdale and Wooster, the Lady Dawgs pushed the streak to 15 wins in a row. They now have an overall record of 15-1 and they are 9-0 in WCAL action.
Dalton easily handled Hillsdale on the road, 69-25, Jan. 16. Makenna Geiser and Ella Lunsford came up big for the Lady Dawgs. Geiser finished with 19 points, five rebounds and two assists while Lunsford had 15 points, one rebound and three assists.
Mia Weaver scored nine points, grabbed five boards and dished one assist. Tess Denning finished with eight points, four rebounds and one assist. Lauren Clos ended with six points, two rebounds and one assist. Gabby Cicconetti had four points and three boards. Kylee Johnson scored four points and pulled two rebounds. Piper Cannon and Charity Green both had two points and two rebounds. Kelsey Shoup found her teammates for six assists.
Wooster was no match for Dalton on Jan. 18. The Lady Dawgs bit the Generals 61-33 at home. Geiser led the way with 22 points, three rebounds and two assists. Camille Beatty was shooting sharp from beyond the arc. She nailed three triples and finished with 15 points and one assist.
