Miller, Calvin J.

                    “Together Again”

Calvin J. Miller, 92, of Apple Creek, died Saturday, January 25, 2020 at West View Healthy Living in Wooster following a brief period of declining health.

Calvin was born at home in Charm on January 19, 1928 to the late Joe J. and Lizzie Miller and married the joy of his life, Dorothy J. Steiner on June 20, 1970.  She died November 15, 2011.
His last place of employment was at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church on the custodial team and in recent years before his illness, he turned t-shirts into rags for Home and Hope Thrift Store of Apple Creek.
Calvin took great pride in his ability to converse in his first language, German.  He was a joy to everyone who knew him.
He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Katie J. Hershberger, Mary J. Miller, Mattie J. Petersheim, Sarah J. Burkholder, Ada J. Petersheim, Lizzie Ann (Betty) Miller and Nora J. Miller; and a brother, John J. Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Fellowship Building of the Kidron Mennonite Church with Pastor Carl Wiebe officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday from 10-11:00 am prior to services.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidron Mennonite Church for the cemetery committee, Box 232, Kidron, OH 44636.
Calvin’s family would like to thank everyone who was involved with transporting him to church every week and the staff of West View Healthy Living.
