Dalton junior high wrestlers Mapleton Invite champs

Dalton Junior High wrestling team finished a historic season capturing its fifth trophy Feb. 1 as champions of the Mapleton Invitational, according to information provided by Jason Boyer. Two wrestlers led this dominating campaign with undefeated records. Eighth grader Greyson Siders (30-0) and seventh grader Caden Schmeltzer (31-0) will look to keep their perfect seasons intact this weekend when they wrestle to qualify for the Ohio Junior High State Tournament. Additional champions from Mapleton were Micah Boyer and Kaden Russell.  Bram McCourt, Bryan Miller, Seth Ryder, and Will Carmichael placed second. The team was also helped by Cohen Riggenbach (fourth place) and Tyler Shoup (fifth place).
