ORRVILLE— Irene M. Miller, age 91, of Orrville, passed away on February 16, 2020, at The Avenue of Wooster, surrounded by her family, following a brief period of declining health.
She was born on April 22, 1928, in Gay, WV, the daughter of Holly D, and Nettie (Pursley) McCrady. She was united in marriage to Odal G. Miller on September 19, 1947, in Ripley, WV. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1991.
She was formerly employed at the Will-Burt Co. in Orrville for 30 years, and at the Buehler’s Store in Orrville for 20 years.
Irene had attended Grace Church in Wooster. She was very active in Girl Scouts, where she was a 50 year member and former leader. Irene was a breast cancer survivor and enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Carozza of Orrville; grandchildren, Andrew Carozza of Mogadore and Jessica Carozza of Orrville; great-granddaughter, Gianna Carozza-Tyler; son-in-law, Tony Carozza of Mogadore; and a brother, Everett “Ray” McCrady of Ripley, WV.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Services will be held in the chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville on Friday, February 21, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Daron Butler officiating. Burial will follow the service at the cemetery.
