Dalton High School’s varsity boys basketball team was looking to end the regular season with an 11-game win streak, but the consecutive wins were snapped at 10 games when the Dawgs fell to James F. Rhodes, 61-55, at home Feb. 21.
Dalton’s head coach Kaleb Reed was pleased with the fight his team displayed during the game.
“The kids competed for four quarters and against a team of that caliber,” he said. “That’s all you can ask. I am very proud of the way the team did not back down from their pressure. We are able to take a lot of positive lessons away from this game, which will benefit us in the tournament.”
