Blair, Jack Edward
MARSHALLVILLE — Jack Edward Blair, age 78, of Marshallville, died Friday, May 8, 2020, at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Jack was born on April 7, 1942, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to the late Shade and Adeline (Santare) Blair, graduated from Smithville High School in 1960, and attended the Akron Barber College. He was the owner and operator of Blair’s Barber Shop in Marshallville for over 45 years, retiring in 2006. During this time he also drove bus for Green Local Schools for 30 years. He married Kathleen Ann Dalessandro on April 7, 1995. Kathy died on March 23, 2010.
Jack was a member of the Marshallville Lion’s Club, the Marshallville American Legion, and was a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at his cabin on the Mohican River in Knox County.
Surviving are four children, Scott (Amy) Blair of Marshallville, Tonya (Danny) Besancon of Wooster, Shade Blair of Barberton, and Tony (Cathy) Blair of Marshallville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie (Ed) Stoll of Marshallville; and ex-wife, Patricia Blair of Orrville.
There will be no public services. Cremation will take place and Jack’s ashes will be spread near his cabin.

I knew Jack back in the late 50 s when we worked at Dick Galehouse seed farm de tosseling corn. He was very friendly and enjoyable to work with.
