Susan J. Gerber, 68, of Apple Creek, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home following a courageous year long battle with ALS.
She was born in Wooster on April 3, 1952 to the late Dwight R. and Melva M. (Gerber) Gerber and married Gerald E. Gerber on December 25, 1976 and he survives.
She was a member of Kidron Mennonite Church and retired in 2016 from Gerber Poultry.
In addition to her husband Gerald, she is survived by two sons and their families, BJ and Sherah-Leigh and their children Anna and Titus of Harrisonburg, VA and Andrew and Channing and their children Colton, Duke and Kinsley of Palm City, FL; a sister, Julia Gentry; and brothers, Mike (Donna) Gerber and Tim (Michelle) Gerber.
Due to the current health conditions, family graveside services will be held at the Kidron Mennonite Church and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
