Shultz, Glenna J.

WOOSTER — Glenna J. Shultz, 88, of Wooster died May 24, 2020 at Smithville Western Care Center from COVID-19, and after a long struggle with dementia.
Jean was born on December 27, 1931, in Marlboro, to the late Walter A. and Helen C. (Roudabush) Haines and graduated from Marlboro High School in 1949.  She married Edward L. Shultz on April 7, 1955, in Alliance.  Edward died on January 31, 2014.
Prior to marriage and childbirth, Jean worked for Alliance Machine and Ohio Bell.  She was active in church and school volunteer work while her children were in elementary school.
Jean was a member of Parkview Christian Church, where she and her husband were active in the church.
Jean is survived by son, Michael E. Shultz, of Wooster; daughter Lou Ellyn (Bill) Shipley of Akron; grandson, Steven Shipley; step-grandchildren, Candice (David) Kolanski and Joseph Shipley; sister, Grace (James) Dimit; brother and sister-in-law Don (Kay) Haines; sisters-in-law, JoAnne (Walter) Haines, Rosalee (Gary) Haines; five nephews and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by brothers Walter, William, Russell, and Gary Haines; brother-in-law James Dimit; and son-in-law William Shipley.
There will be no calling hours.  At family’s request, cremation will take place.  Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, there will be no memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Road, Wooster.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Smithville Western Care Center for the care they gave to Jean over the past six years.
