Hinkle, Ora “Ellen”

WOOSTER — Ora “Ellen” Hinkle, age 87, of Wooster, died Saturday, June 6, 2020, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Ellen was born on February 15, 1933, in Missouri Branch, WV, to the late Thomas and Fannie (Music) Crum and married Earl Hinkle on April 5, 1952, in Wayne, WV.
She worked in insurance sales in Columbus, OH, and founded the Ellen Hinkle Agency, selling J.C. Penny and Farmers Insurance for 15 years, retiring in 1998.
Ellen was a member of the Rittman First Free Will Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and loved to sew.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching her great granddaughters to sew.  She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed.
Surviving are her husband, Earl; two sons, Gary Hinkle of Wooster and Kenneth (Judy) Hinkle of Marshallville; daughter, Linda (Randy) Marshall of Apple Creek; 5 grandchildren, Joseph Hinkle, Nicholas (Michelle) Hinkle, Adam (Rachel) Hinkle, Mistee (Phillip) Liess, and Jason (Jennifer) Lake; step-grandson, Kenneth Marshall; 21 great grandchildren; and two siblings, Fred Crum and Phyllis (George) Coburn, both of Orrville.
She was preceded in death by 6 brothers; and 10 sisters.
Friends may call on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Wooster Cemetery in Wooster, with her nephew, Pastor John W. Castle officiating.
Auble Funeral Home in Orrville is handling the arrangements. Online registry and expressions of condolence may be made at the funeral home’s web site at www.aublefuneralhome.com.  Although the public visitation and service is exempt from the current gathering limitations, the risk of virus transmission from one person to another still exists.  Visitors are asked to wear masks if possible, practice social distancing, and adhere to the posted signs and spacing limitations
