How We Hear nonprofit awards scholarship to DHS grad

The nonprofit organization, “How We Hear,” which was founded by Ava Martinez, who will be a Dalton High School senior next year, continues to do good work in the community. The organization awarded recent Dalton graduate Morgan Lunsford a $1,000 scholarship. Martinez, who was diagnosed with auditory processing disorder as a child, has made it her mission to provide advice and mentorship and to raise awareness about APD. She also has fundraisers to provide classroom equipment and scholarships for area students. For more information, visit
