Dalton’s high school softball team ended the season with a comeback win in the final game of the Wayne County summer league season.
The Lady Dawgs topped Wooster 8-7 July 29 on Dalton’s home field.
“It was an extremely competitive game,” Coach Pamela Spencer said. “We played hard, we played as a family and we never gave up. Every player in the lineup executed their role phenomenally. We were down by one (run) in the bottom of the 7th inning and we came back to win the game. As a coaching staff, we couldn’t be more proud of the players.”
Dalton finished the season with a 10-7 record. There will not be any tournaments or a postseason.
