Stutzman, Melvin D.

Melvin D. Stutzman, 72, of 9120 E. Moreland Road, Apple Creek, died Thursday morning, August 6, 2020 at his home following a 9 month illness.

He was born in Millersburg on July 3, 1948 to the late Dan E. and Anna (Schlabach) Stutzman and married Barbara D. Yoder on November 28, 1968 and she survives.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was ordained a minister on May 10, 1987.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven sons and four daughters, Marty of the home, Roy (Elmina), Danny (Sarah), Ada (Jacob Miller) and Betty (Leroy Schlabach), all of Apple Creek, Alfred (Mary), Mike (Mary), Melvin Jr. (Lizzie) and Ida (Alvin Miller) all of Millersburg, Eli (Ella) of Fredericksburg and Laura (Raymond Weaver) of Danville; 67 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Eli (Lizzie Ann); and a brother-in-law, Eli Wengerd.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother; a stillborn daughter; a brother Alfred and his wife Katie; sisters, Sara and her husband Roy Miller and Katie Wengerd.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 9:30 am at the family residence with Minister Robert Miller officiating.  Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County.  Friends may call anytime at the family home.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
