Mitchell, Genevieve I.

DALTON – Genevieve I. Mitchell, age 86, passed away on August 8, 2020.

Born on December 10, 1933 in Pleasants County, WV to the late Richard and Essie (Hashman) Taylor, she was a resident of Dalton since 1995.  She was a member of the Baptist Church and attended in WV and VA.  Having received diplomas for Art and Sales Management, Genevieve was a certified Interior Decorator.   She married Marvin in 1974 and followed him into the Drapery Business.  She then served as manager and supervisor for companies in several states.  The two of them then settled into Lincoln View Estates where they were sales managers for the mobile home community.

Preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 2008; granddaughter, Cristy; she is survived by her daughter, Janice (Terry) Malone of WV; granddaughter, Wendy; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Fran Vaughn of WV, Kathy Taylor of OH, Janet Blouir of WV, Virginia Cross of VA; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Willow Island Cemetery in Willow Island, WV where she will be placed next to her beloved husband, Marvin.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
