SPOTLIGHT ON RETIRED TEACHERS: Teaching duo made impact locally and internationally

KIDRON  A dynamic teaching duo made an impact on students in Kidron and Dalton, and took their skills and passion for their jobs to other states – and the other side of the globe.

Ann and Milt Troyer, of Kidron, not only were educators for years, but they also traveled and volunteered for a variety of service projects, and had a bed and breakfast in Kidron.

In thinking back to her time as a teacher, Ann Troyer quoted American educator Marva Collins: “There is a brilliant child locked inside every student.”

“My challenge was to find the spark that made each child tick,” Troyer said.
