Dalton police blotter

Reports have been obtained from the Dalton Police Department and are available to the public.

A resident in the 100 block of N Mill Street reported receiving harassing messages through Facebook messenger at 5:41 p.m. Sept. 7.

VANDALISM A man reported his mailbox was hit by someone or something at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 600 block of E Main Street causing it to lean over.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at 10:31 a.m. Sept. 12 in the 100 block of N Mill Street. An unknown person had reportedly placed two washcloths saturated with what smelled like gasoline on the front porch of the residence.

ASSAULT A woman reported she was assaulted by someone she knew at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 in a parking lot of a business in the 200 block of S Mill Street.

A woman stated that an unknown person had spray painted the right side of her vehicle between midnight and noon Sept. 12 in the 400 block of W Main Street.

An unknown person threw eggs at a home and pick-up truck at 11:31 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 200 block of Buckeye Street.

MENACING A postal worker stated she had been threatened by a resident at 12:15 p.m. Sept. 14 while she was delivering the mail on her daily route in the 200 block of Heritage Point.

Police responded to Dalton Village Park for a report of damages to village property at 3:15 p.m. Sept. 15. Someone had damaged a storage shed several boards had been pried off or kicked in.

Unknown subject cut the lock off an outdoor fuel storage cage and took three filled gasoline cans between 5:15 p.m. Sept. 19 and 8:40 a.m. Sept. 21 in the 200 block of Kurzen Road.
