The Junior Varsity Bulldogs recently had a win and a loss during this unusual season during the COVID-19 pandemic. The team plays West Holmes at home at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, and more games may be on the schedule for them.
When the Rittman game was canceled because Rittman did not have a JV team, they scrambled and scheduled a game with Coventry who they handily beat 20-0. Their final game was with Norwayne, which they lost 20-0.
The JV team’s season record so far is 3-2-1. They outscored their opponents 101-42 with one loss being by only two points and one by 20 points. On the 20 point loss game, some players were out because of quarantine or the score might have been different. In their wins they outscored their opponents by 41, 22 and 18 points. The defensive team held their opponents and had several interceptions which helped the offensive team score a total of 101 points while allowing opponents only 42.
