Pumphrey, Roscoe “Bud”

WOOSTER — Roscoe “Bud” Pumphrey, age 68, of Wooster, died Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at his residence, following a period of declining health.
Bud was born on April 10, 1952, in Lewis County, West Virginia, to the late Roscoe and Martha (Hitt) Pumphrey.  He married Karen Lincicome on September 14, 1974, in Orrville. Karen survives.
He loved every aspect of his career as an owner operator of B & K Trucking for 34 years, retiring in 2005.
Bud was an ordained minister and worked with people suffering from addiction in the Doylestown area.  He enjoyed old westerns on television, family gatherings, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Karen, are his son, Delbert (Christine) Pumphrey of Orrville; daughter, Brinay (Jose) Vasquez of Orrville; seven grandchildren, Brittney King of Wooster, Chaz (Jessie) Pumphrey of Apple Creek, Dustin (Kayla) Pumphrey of Orrville, Kiara (C.J. Campisi) Keen of FL, Alexiea Vasquez of Orrville, Diego Vasquez of Orrville, and Kerfina Vasquez of Orrville; two great grandchildren, Waylon Auxier and Emma Rae Pumphrey; four siblings, Janet (Bob) Crites of Wooster, Mike (Cindy) Pumphrey of Wooster, Robert Pumphrey of Wooster, and Brenda Pumphrey of Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Roger A. Pumphrey.
Friends may call on Monday, November 2, 2020, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm.
Services will follow at 1:30 pm on Monday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Eli D. Troyer officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
The family has chosen to have a public event. Although funeral events are exempt from current gathering limitations, the risk of virus transmission from one person to another is much higher at a public event.  Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to the posted signs and spacing limitations. Seating  may be limited.
