Seymour, Carroll “Sam”

ORRVILLE — Carroll “Sam” Seymour age 85 of Orrville, died Monday November 2, 2020, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Sam was born on September 27, 1935, in Knox County, to Paul and Elsie (Fry) Seymour. Graduated from Fredericktown High School.
Sam worked all his life in the Construction/Retail business, which included Store Manager at Lowe’s in Wooster, Vice President of Scott Lumber Co. in Bridgeport, Store Manager of Scott Lumber Co. in Heath, and Salesman for Montgomery Lumber Co. in Newark.  Sam, retired in 1999, from Iron City Sash and Door.
He was a past member of Newark Rotary, served on Heath City Council, and also served as a Board member of the Crown Hill Condominium Association.  Sam loved woodworking and building and there was no task too big for him to tackle. He was always there for anyone no matter what the project was. He loved hanging out with the neighbors and enjoying the outdoors at every chance he got.  He was a people person and worked hard at everything he did. He loved his wife and family deeply. Sam, also loved his Orrville Christian Church family and had a very strong faith and relationship with the Lord.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Dreama (Gulley) Seymour; his sons Gregory (Leslie) Seymour of Castle Rock, CO and Bradley (Diana) Seymour of Pickerington; five grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Koch, Joshua (Amanda) Seymour, Caitlynn Seymour, Ethan (Stacy) Seymour and Montana Seymour; seven great grandchildren and two on the way; his sister Eileen (Ronald) Boner; sisters-in law, Carolyn (Paul) Seymour, Melinda Gulley, Robin Gulley, Glory (Mike) Vitale, and Lana (Clyde) Kutcher; special extended family LZ , Jolie, Kendall and  Keelyn Lloyd; and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family, all of whom he loved.
Sam, was preceded in death by his brothers, William “Bill”, Lloyd “Shorty”, and Paul Seymour; sisters, Leila Whitzky and Pauline “Polly” Beal; sisters-in-law; Jean and Nova Seymour; and brothers-in-law; Harold Whitzky, Max Beal and Tim Keller.
At Sam’s request, cremation will take place with no services.
