Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am at the family residence with Bishop Harry Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Hostetler Cemetery, Sugar Creek Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime at the family residence on Thursday or Friday. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
Roman A. Gingerich, 68, of 12919 Goudy Road, Orrville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness..
He was born near Fredericksburg on October 6, 1952 to the late Andy E. and Amanda E. (Miller) Gingerich and married Clara R. Yoder on April 12, 1973 and she survives.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was ordained a Minister in April 1979 and Bishop in April of 1984.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Laura (Daniel Ray) Miller of Apple Creek, Linda Gingerich of Dalton, Arie (Joni) Miller of Apple Creek, Ivan (Barbara) Gingerich of Apple Creek, David (Christina) Gingerich of Dalton and Emma (Aden) Raber of the home; 16 grandchildren; siblings, Mattie Miller and Eli (Edna) Gingerich both of Fredericksburg, Verna (Ernest) Eicher of Monroe, IN, Anna (Jonas) Wengerd of Walhonding and Clara Schlabach of Millersburg; brother-in-law, Eli M. Troyer of Apple Creek.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by and infant brother; a sister; and a brother-in-law.
