BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT: It’s a girl!

A daughter, Makenna Lee, was born Oct. 6 to Eldon and Bethany Derstine of Salem, Ohio.

She weighed 6 pounds and was 19 inches long.

She is the couple’s first child.

Grandparents are Allen and Loretta Derstine, of Wisconsin, and Jacob and Christine Weaver, of New York.

Local great-grandparents are Earl and Rosina Amstutz, and Roy and Mary Jane Derstine, of Dalton.
