Wade, Barbara A.

DALTON — Barbara A. Wade, age 97, of Dalton, formerly of Orrville, died Friday, November 13, 2020, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, following a period of declining health.
Barbara was born on August 30, 1923, in Orrville, to the late Cornelius and Susan (Amstutz) Sprunger, attended Carson Newman College, and served in the United States Coast Guard.  She married George “Don” Good  on June 23, 1946. Don died March 7, 1960 and Barbara raised her children on her own with the help of her oldest daughter, Susie. She later married Francis Joseph Wade on September 25, 1992, and he died on March 23, 2004.
She after raising her family of 6 children, she worked in the laundry department for Dunlap Hospital (Aultman Orrville) for 9 years, retiring in 1985.
Barbara was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, sewing, reading and dancing.  Most of all she loved to spend time with family.
Surviving are five children, Susan Castellano of Clyde, NY, Chris (Tom) Denman of Big Creek, KY, Georgia (Dave) Mesic of Massilon, Robert (Bonnie) Good of Dalton, and Jimmy (Suzanne) Good of Orrville; grandchildren, Chris, Ethan, Eric, Gary, Gretchen, Jeremy, Amanda, Zach, Farra, Jessica, Cameron, Alicia and Johnny; and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Good; granddaughter, Beth; sister, Vera Cody; and brothers, Leland, Lauren, James, and Carl Sprunger.
Friends may call on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm.
Services will follow at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Bolich officiating. Burial will take place at the Apple Creek Cemetery.
 Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to the posted signs and spacing limitations. Seating  may be limited.
