Miller, E. Edward

E. Edward Miller, 63, of Jeromesville, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at OSU Wexner Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Millersburg on March 14, 1957 to the late Joe D. and Katie Ann (Beachy) Miller and married Cheryl Emminger on July 23, 1977 and she survives.
Edward walked humbly with his God. He loved his wife, family, and friends. Ed was a skilled, self-employed carpenter and loved working with wood, especially wood harvested from his own land. He loved a good challenge, whether a brainteaser, or a good game with his children and grandchildren. In his community he was known as an encourager and servant. He will be missed greatly, and remembered joyfully.  He was a member of Fairlawn Mennonite Church in Apple Creek.
In addition to his wife, Cheryl, he is survived by children, Nate (Suetta) Miller of Goshen, IN, Sarah Miller of Wooster, Elizabeth (Steven) Starkey of  Wooster and Leah (Henry) Shetler of Cochranton, PA,; grandchildren, Elijah, Abigail, Hannah, Hadassah and Elise Miller, James, Matthew and (baby sister on the way) Starkey, and Karmen and Carson Shetler; siblings, Wilma (Pete) Weaver of Sarasota, FL, David (Martha) Miller of Hartville, Ada Kay (Terry) Bontrager of Wellman, IA and Joseph Jr. (Julia) Miller of Berlin; a sister-in-law, Miriam Miller of Kidron; a special sister-in-law, Rhoada McGuire of Jeromesville; and a brother-in-law, Garry (Donna) McKean of Big Prairie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Miller; and a sister, Sarah Ann Miller; and grandchildren, Samuel and Isabelle Joy Starkey.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5:00 pm at the Fairlawn Mennonite Church, 8520 Emerson Road, Apple Creek.  Masks are mandatory and social distancing will be enforced.  Memorial services will be held on Monday at 11:00 at the church with Pastors Duane Detweiler and Steve Bixler officiating.  Family graveside services will be held prior in the church cemetery.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
