Yoder, Ella A.
Orrville — Ella A. Yoder, age 80, of Orrville, died Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Ella was born on March 20, 1940, in Holmes County, Ohio, to the late Abe and Amanda (Swartzentruber) Erb and married Levi D. Yoder on January 20, 1962, in Smithville. Levi died on March 24, 2004.
She worked as a Nurses Aid for Wayne General Osteopathic Hospital and then for Dunlap Memorial (Aultman Orrville) Hospital for 50 years, retiring in 2007.
Ella was a faithful member of Smithville Mennonite Church. She enjoyed working the family farm since the age of seven, gardening, mowing, and making sure everything was in its place. She loved to work and missed taking care of people when her career ended. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them with her generosity.
Surviving are her twins, Larry (Ranee) Yoder of Orrville and Marilyn (Jerry) Walters of Wooster; daughter, Kristina (Scott) Minks of Wooster; six grandchildren, Jamie (Sarah) Walters of Akron, Zachary (Caitlin) Yoder of Geneva, Brittany (Jeremy) Hargrave of Orrville, Jessica (Brandon) Duslak of WA, Briana (Ethan) Lascari of Orrville, and Andrea Yoder of Columbus; four great grandchildren, Emerson, Avery, Ezekiel, Conor, and two on the way; .
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Private graveside services will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/ aublefuneralhome at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2020, with Pastor Todd Martin officiating. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
