Settle, Arrawana Sue

Orrville — Arrawana Sue Settle, age 73, of Orrville, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, following a period of declining health.

Sue was born on March 23, 1947, in Newark, Ohio, to the late James Robert and Eula May (Branham) Baughman.  She married Orvill R. “Jack” Settle on October 18, 1984, in Orrville, and he died on December 22, 2008.

She worked in numerous positions including the line, and as a supervisor, for the J.M. Smucker Company in Orrville for over 25 years.

Sue attended Smithville Mennonite Church and participated in the YMCA Silver Sneakers and the J.M. Smucker Retiree Luncheons.  She enjoyed traveling, tending to her flower gardens, and spending time with friends and family.  She will be remembered for her generous heart and would help anyone who needed help or take them in to stay with her.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Bobby) Slone and Deborah Skidmore, both of Orrville; four grandchildren, Jay (Bethany) Saltzman III, Chris (Cassie) Saltzman, Jessica (Devin) Scullion, and John Henry (Rachael) Kissel II, Maggie Ryder; five great grandchildren, Michael, Gaige, Preston, Henry, and Landon; and two sisters, Bonnie (Der) Fyfe and Patty White of Heath.

She was proceeded in death by, ex-husband, Delbert Litton; brother, Bobby Baughman; and sister, Mary Scarberry.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 27, 2020, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, with Pastor Todd Martin officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.  Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to the posted signs and spacing limitations. Seating may be limited.
