Corban, Marianne
Marianne Corban, 89, of Apple Creek, went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton.
She was born in Massillon on February 26, 1931 to the late Christian and Anna (May) Berens and married the love of her life William Corban on October 22, 1949. He died December 10, 1991.
Anyone who knew Marianne would agree, she didn’t have to go to heaven to be an angel. She was an angel here on earth doing God’s work. She touched the lives of so many with her generous spirit, kind heart and loving smile. She would share her love of God with anyone she met, and helping others was her true passion. Her greatest joy was her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!
She enjoyed the love of music and she would often be found singing and playing the piano. She was a member of the Apple Creek United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, played in the bell choir and was the church secretary for 22 years. She spent many years as a Den Mother, a 4-H leader and was a tutor for kids after school.
She enjoyed travel, especially to the ocean, playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Dale (Denise) Corban of Apple Creek and Peggy (Joe) Lendon of Wooster; grandchildren, Nichole (Jacob) Curry, Jacob Schlarb, Sydney Lendon, Jeff (Jessica) Lendon, Mindy (Brandon) Eicher and Mandy (BJ) Deem; and great grandchildren Rowyn, Jackson, Jonathon, Owen and Chase; a brother, Robert (Nancy) Berens of Naples, FL.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters; and 6 brothers.
Private family graveside services will be held at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Jackson Township.
