Orrville — Elaine Faye (Hartman) Swann, age 71, of Orrville, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, following a battle with cancer.
Elaine was born on May 3, 1949, in Lima, to the late Melvin and Mabel (Berkshire) Hartman and graduated from Central Christian High School in 1967. She later earned a Nursing Degree at the Wayne County Career Center and worked as a LPN for various hospitals and nursing homes in Ohio and Virginia for 20 years. She retired early to adopt and raise her special needs children.
Elaine enjoyed various hobbies, decorating and cleaning her home, and reading her Bible. Most of all she dedicated her life to taking care of her children who were her greatest joy.
Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca “Nikki” Swann of Orrville; three siblings, Ronald Hartman of Wooster, Glenda (Larry) Plamann of Marietta, GA, and Roger Hartman of Wooster; three aunts, Betty J. Berkshire of Orrville, Margaret Thomas of Elizabethtown, PA, and Beulah (Clare) Snider of Elida; a nephew, Michael (Sammy) Kazsmer of Braselton, GA; a niece, Brittney Kazsmer of Flowery Branch, GA; and great nephews and niece, Jordan and Joah Clark, and Mila Kazsmer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Swann; and sister, Carol Hartman.
Cremation will take place and a memorial service may be held at a later date.
