Snyder, Walter Frank
Frankie was born on October 15, 1950, in Mountain City, Tennessee, to Frank H. and Betty Snyder. He married Diane Boggs on May 23, 1970, and they had been married for 50 years. Diane survives.
He worked at Orrville Products as a Machinist for 33 years and retired in 2012, after working at Wooster Community Hospital.
Frankie was a member of Christian Harbor Church in Orrville. His passion was cars, and he enjoyed going to car shows and the races in Bristol, Tennessee. He enjoyed lifting weights, traveling to Tennessee to see family, and visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. He loved playing in the ocean waves with his boys, and most of all, spending time with his wife and two sons.
He will be remembered as a strong man with a big heart, a hardworking man who never missed a day of work, and a loving, protecting husband and father.
In addition to his wife, Diane, he is survived by son, Jamie (Tori) Snyder of Naples, Florida; grandchild Carter Snyder; siblings, Bob (Debbie) Snyder, Kitty Sue (Mike) Cornett, Buck, Joe, Jack, Larry (Janet), Sally, Sonny, Forrest, and Melinda Snyder; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kay and Carolyn; infant sister Linda; brothers, Bill and J.E.; and his beloved son, Dennis Snyder.
Friends may call on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Christian Harbor Church, 598 Wadsworth Road, Orrville, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to the posted signs and spacing limitations.
Services will follow at 1:30 pm on Friday, at Christian Harbor Church, with Pastors John and Ethan Boggs officiating. Pallbearers will be Jamie Snyder, Carter Snyder, Bob Snyder, Toby Shiflett, Scott Boggs, Landon Boggs, and Ronald Wills. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family may donate to Christian Harbor Church, Pastor John Boggs, 46 Hawkridge Rd, Rittman, OH 44270.
