Dalton High School transitions to remote learning through Jan. 8

DGKN staff report
DALTON  Dalton High School has transitioned to remote learning through Jan. 8 because of a lack of available substitutes.
Superintendent Jim Saxer shared a post on Twitter and the school district’s Facebook page also has a post addressed to Dalton Local families outlining how high school students are still eligible to receive free breakfasts and lunches.
The post states: “For this week, Thursday, December 3 and Friday, December 4, students who need breakfast and lunch can call the High School Office by 9 am each day. The pick up time will be 1:00 pm Thursday and Friday at the High School Food Service entrance (Door 7 on the south side of the High School). Starting Monday, December 7, High School students interested in a week’s worth of breakfasts and lunches should call the High School Office by 9 am of the preceding Friday. The time for distribution is every Monday from 11 am to 12:30pm at the Elementary and Middle School front entrance. If families cannot make it on Monday to pick up food, arrangements can be made for pick up on either Tuesday or Wednesday at a specific time.”
