CHIPPEWA TWP. A Rittman woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Jason Morrison 34, of Rittman, was driving east on Eastern Road in a 1997 Saturn SL when the vehicle traveled left of center at about 7:22 p.m., just west of County Road 51 (Mennonite Road) in Chippewa Township. The vehicle went off the north side of the roadway, before striking a tree and overturning. Besides Morrison, Brooklynn Adcox 26, also of Rittman, was in the front passenger seat. Two children, ages 6 and 2, also were in the vehicle. Adcox was not wearing a seatbelt, the news release states, and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
