Orrville — Renee A. Collins, age 60, of Orrville, died Sunday, December 27, 2020, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Renee was born on January 8, 1960, in Orrville, to Arthur and Marilyn (Dalessandro) Rehm and graduated from Orrville High School in 1978. She married Jeff Collins on August 14, 1982, in Orrville, and he survives.
She worked in administrative and finance capacities for several businesses and most recently worked as the Community Outreach Director for Habitat for Humanity Wayne County for the last 5 years.
Renee was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church where she was a part of the Bell Choir. She was also an active member of the Orrville Rotary Club where she was a Paul Harris Fellow and a former Rotarian of the Year. In addition, she was a faithful volunteer for Friendship Meals in Orrville. Renee enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to warm weather destinations. She will be remembered as a guiding light and a person who loved to help people in need.
In addition to her husband, Jeff, she is survived by her mother, Marilyn Rehm of Orrville; daughter, Lauren Sears of Canal Fulton; brother, Rod (Stacey) Rehm of Wooster; sister-in-law, Karen Rehm of Orrville; several nieces and nephews; and “adopted” son, Larry Porter of Jeromesville.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Rock Rehm.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am next Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Calvary Assembly of God, 2061 Wadsworth Road, Orrville, with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating and will be live streamed at facebook.com/aublefuneralhome. Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to posted signs and spacing limitations. Seating may be limited.
Burial of ashes will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
