Central exceeds service day goal
DGKN staff report
KIDRON Community members donated more than $224,000 for Central Christian School’s Community Service Day, exceeding the goal of $220,000.
“The exciting thing about our fundraising is that it supports our Fair Balance Fund,” CCS Superintendent Jeanne Zimmerly Jantzi wrote in an email.
“That fund enables us to offer variable rates of tuition to families. Central does not use state funded tuition vouchers, but it is the generosity of this community and the hard work of our students and faculty that make it possible for a wide range of students to attend Central.”
Each student, faculty and staff member had a goal for the number of people they would invite to sponsor CSD, Zimmerly Jantzi wrote in her community letter earlier this month.
