WOOSTER – Wayne E. Yutzy 81, of Wooster, died Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, after a period of declining health.

Services will be Sunday, January 24th at 2 PM at East Union Mennonite Church near Orrville, OH with Pastor Elton Yutzy officiating. The service will be live streamed through https://www.facebook.com/blazerznation.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday, January 23rd from 2-4 or 6-8 PM at the church or one hour prior to service.  Social distancing will be observed and masks are mandatory.

Wayne was born September 7, 1939, in Plain City, OH to the late Eli N. and Lizzie Ann (Miller) Yutzy and married the late Fannie M. Plank on September 24, 1966.
He was a graduate of The Ohio State University becoming the first male nurse at the school. He went on to become a CRNA and spent 42 years at Wooster Community Hospital. He especially enjoyed working in OB. He had previously pastored at Calvary Chapel Mennonite Church and East Union Mennonite Church where he was a member and was one of the founders of Faith Christian Academy. He loved the Lord, his family, and Jewish evangelism.
Surviving are his children, Nathan (Elizabeth) Yutzy of Wooster, Danita (Donald) Ressler of Apple Creek, Jonathan (Joy) Yutzy of Sarasota, FL and Alicia (Martin) Wenger of Dalton; grandchildren: Kayla Yutzy, Kylie Yutzy, Caleb Ressler, Claudia Ressler, Jalen Yutzy, Hailey Yutzy, Noah Yutzy, Paige Wenger, Kinsley Wenger, Lennox Wenger, and Xander Wenger; sisters: Florence Farmwald, Orpha Lapp, Mary (David) Hostetler all of Plain City, OH; brothers: Melvin Yutzy, Freeman (Kathy) Yutzy, Ervin (Dorothy) Yutzy, Elton (Betty) Yutzy, Lee (Elizabeth) Yutzy, Mark (Elisabeth) Yutzy all of Plain City, OH; sisters-in-law: Mary Yutzy, Kathleen Yutzy, Sarah Yutzy of Plain City, OH; brother-in-law: Perry Yoder of Plain City, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister Viola, brothers: infant Enos, Ammon, Marvin, and Wallace, sister-in-law: Wilma Yutzy, brothers-in-law: Abe Farmwald, Henry Lapp.
