Hamsher, Kenny

Dalton — Kenny Hamsher, age 71, of Dalton, formerly of Orrville, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, following a period of declining health.
Kenny was born on September 19, 1949, in Millersburg, Ohio, to the late Paul and Ella (Sommers) Hamsher and graduated from Hiland High School in 1967.  He married Kathryn M. Hershberger on July 24, 1976 in Orrville.  Kathryn died on January 6, 2014.
He worked as a Inn Keeper for Oak Ridge Inn in Walnut Creek.
Kenny was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Orrville.  He was the treasurer for church, helped on the church’s funeral meal committee, and enjoyed cooking.
Surviving are his brother, Marcus Hamsher of Walnut Creek; two sisters, Annetta Weaver of Berlin and Lorene Gingerich of Trail; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Oletha Troyer; brother, Andrew Sherman Hamsher; brother-in-laws, Alvin Troyer, John Weaver and Paul Gingerich; and a sister-in-law, Judy Hamsher.
Friends may view and pay respects on Friday, January 29, 2010, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, OH 44667, from 5 pm to 7 pm, but the family will not be present. Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to posted signs and spacing limitations.
Services will be live streamed on Saturday at 10 at facebook.com/AubleFuneralHome with Pastor Paul Simonson officiating. Burial will take place at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.
