Comets basketball: CCS varsity boys split week; varsity girls defeat Crestline

Central Christian School’s varsity boys basketball team traveled to Lake Center Christian Feb. 2 and the Tigers won 40-30. Kaden Schrock, Clay Rohrer and Dakota Kerby all finished with six points each. Tyler Bonner added five points. Thatcher Rohrer scored four points and Caden Granger had three points.
CCS extinguished the Flames 55-50 Feb. 5 when they hosted Mansfield Christian. Bonner led Central with 21 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Clay Rohrer ended with eight points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Max Irwin added six points and six rebounds. And-rew Miller totaled five points, eight boards and one steal. Granger put up five points and three rebounds. Schrock collected four points, two re-bounds, six assists and three steals. Kerby had four points, one rebound, one assist and one steal. The Comets now have an overall record of 8-8 and they are 5-4 in MBC action.
Central’s varsity girls basketball team defeated Crestline, 47-27, Feb. 4 on the road. This was the Comets’ final conference game.
