SUGAR CREEK TWP. Trustees seek to renew bridge, road levy
DGKN staff report
SUGAR CREEK TWP. Voters in the township will see a renewal of a road and bridge levy to consider on their ballots during the primary/special election this spring.
The 2-mill four-year levy is a renewal of an existing levy and is for road improvements, including general construction, reconstruction and resurfacing and repair of roads and bridges in the township. Voters renewed the levy in 2016.
Board President Jon Hofstetter said in a meeting recording that the levy is township-wide and includes the village of Dalton. Because the levy is a renewal, the township is not asking for any extra money, the goal of the levy is to maintain services provided.
The primary/special election is May 4, according to the Wayne County Board of Elections website.
