DALTON Twenty-three students were inducted into the National Honor Society last month at Dalton High School.
Students are inducted into the National Honor Society based on outstanding scholarship, service, leadership and character, according to Lauren Shaffer, NHS adviser.
New inductees are Victoria Boyer, Piper Cannon, Marissa Crawford, Boyd Elett, Sean Geiser, Grace Greer, Nathan Hofstetter, Abigail Hostetler, Emma Hostetler, Ty Hutson, Amber Jager, Olivia Lechner, Mason McCune, Jordyn Miller, Kole Miller, Courtney Nolt, Lucas Oswald, Chloe Simmons, Emily Snyder, Molly Soehnlen, Vanessa Swartzentruber, Mia Weaver and Brooke Wenger.
Current members are Adrianne Alger, Trenton Annen, Brennah Arnold, Brandon Basinger, Karmellah Buttler, Bailey Chenevey, Sydney Christian, David Cross, Tess Denning, Miki Fath, Melanie Gerber, Kathryn Good, Allison Hirst, Evan Hodkinson, Dillon Horst, Adam Jarrett, Amelia Knetzer, Angelique Kosier, Mitchell Kutz, Anna Maglott, Seth Manley, Ava Martinez, Patrick McCarthy, Ozzie Miller, Liam Riggenbach, Landree Siders, Abbigail Snyder and Jordan Wenger.
Ozzie Miller is this year’s NHS president, Evan Hodkinson is vice president, Dillon Horst is secretary, Adam Jarrett is treasurer, and Liam Riggenbach is sergeant at arms.
Will Sumser, a 2014 Dalton graduate, was the guest speaker at the Jan. 13 ceremony.
