Dalton High School’s boys varsity basketball team had no trouble handling No. 6 seed Cornerstone Christian in the Division IV Northeast 3 sectional final game. The win secured a spot for the No. 2 Dawgs in the district semifinal game against Independence.

Before entering tournament play, Dalton faced host Walsh Jesuit in a warm up Feb. 23. The Dawgs won 72-70. Jalen Wenger scored 23 points and dished out three assists. Liam Riggenbach was a force under the rim with 15 points, in addition to two points. Jack Steiner and Braylon Wenger both collected 14 points. Ezra Miller added 13 points in the win.
