Coole, Ruth Anne
Millersburg — Ruth Anne Coole, age 87, of Millersburg, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Holmes County Home in Holmesville, following a period of declining health.
Ruth Anne was born on October 13, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Charles and Mildred (George) Wintjen and graduated from Lash High School in 1951. She married Daniel on October 18, 1952, in Zanesville. He survives.
She was a homemaker most of her life but after her children were grown she worked as a Nurse for Glendora Nursing Home for several years.
Ruth Anne was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, as well as United Methodist Millersburg once they moved to Millersburg. Ruth and Dan met at a square dance and continued to enjoy this hobby throughout their married life. She was a leader for Wadsworth Women’s Bible Study Fellowship,. She and Dan were dedicated volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. Ruth was a prolific reader, a great artist who enjoyed painting with oils, and enjoyed time gardening. Dan and Ruth enjoyed traveling and camping with the kids and continued to do so after the kids got older.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith (Ken) Gable of Orrville, and Shelly (Ray) Bilderback of Orrville; son, John Coole of FL; grandchildren, Chris, Aaron, Stephen, Kendra, Jessica (Craig), and Mallory; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Powell of Zanesville.
She was proceeded in death by son, Randall Coole and brother-in-law, Leon Powell.
Friends may call on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
Services will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, March 5, 2021, at the funeral home and will be live streamed at facebook.com/aublefuneralhome.
Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to posted signs and spacing limitations. Seating may be limited.
