Orrville — Debbie Kay Sturgis, age 63, of Orrville, died Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, from health issues following a fall at home.
Debbie was born on May 29, 1957, in Orrville to Don and Melda (Scott) Hinerman and graduated from Orrville High School in 1975.
She worked in cleaning, sales and worked as an STNA for a short period of time. She most recently was the General Manager for General Building Maintenance in Orrville for the last five years.
Debbie enjoyed cooking, animals, especially dogs, and had a green thumb for plants. She will be remembered for her giving and loving kindness to others.
Surviving are her son, Jon Brandon Milo “J.B.” Sturgis of Wooster; Mother, Melda Hinerman of Orrville; twin-sister, Donna Reusser of Akron; former husband, Rodney Sturgis of Wooster; two step-daughters, Megan Sturgis of Wooster, and Melissa (Todd) Aylsworth of Sarasota, FL; nieces and nephews; and her beautiful little dog Bentley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Hinerman; and brother, William “Ralph” Hinerman.
A service may be scheduled at a later time and cremation will take place.
