Dalton — Dixie M. Woodruff, age 86, of Dalton, formerly of Marshallville, died Monday, March 15, 2021, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, following a period of declining health.
Dixie was born on October 20, 1934, in Wooster, Ohio, to the late Bertol and Anna (Paulson) Mackey and married Richard on November 18, 1950, in Wooster.
She worked as a Housekeeper for Wooster Community Hospital.
Dixie was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She enjoyed church, gardening, birds, dogs, and most important to her was being with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving are daughter, Renee (Jeff) Presley of Marshallville; two sons, Richard (Linda) Woodruff of Littleton, CO, and Daryl (Judy) Woodruff of Orrville; grandchildren, Erin, Corey (Tess), Angel (Matt), Matthew(Jennifer), and Daniel (Jennifer) Woodruff, and Keli and Kyle Presley; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Richard, she was preceded in death by daughter, Bonnie Woodruff; grandchild, Kylie Presley; sisters, Yvonne, Donna, Norma, and Glenna; brothers, Gaius, Ellis, and Gale.
Graveside services will be private, but available to the public via livestream at facebook.com/AubleFuneral Home at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
