Bethune, Melody A.
Melody A. Bethune, 69, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
She was born in Massillon on February 15, 1952 to the late Clifford and Maxine E. (Hodgson) Sexton and married Ronald L. Bethune on June 2, 1973 and he survives.
She worked in the medical department of the Hoover Company for many years and retired from Stark State College as a teaching assistant. She attended the Gathering Place Community Church in Brewster.
In addition to her husband Ron, she is survived by children, Robert (Julia) Bethune and Karisa (Joe) Zinsmayer; grandchildren, Stella and Glen; and a brother, Mark (Priscilla) Sexton and family including many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Melody was a faithful Christian, loving spouse, mother, and treasured by many family members and friends including her cat Daisy Mae. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed music and taught piano lessons for many years.
Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 am to Noon at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster. Private family services will be held with burial in the Brookfield Cemetery.
