Yoder, Mary E.

Mary E. Yoder, 97, of 8647 State Route 241, Fredericksburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at her home following a period of declining health.

She was born in Wayne County on May 15, 1923 to the late Enos J. and Sovilla J. (Hershberger) Yoder and married Eli D. Yoder on February 21, 1940.  He died September 23, 2002.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by nine children, Edna (the late Dan) Troyer of Orrville, Atlee (Susie) Yoder of Apple Creek, Esther (the late John) Troyer, Sovilla (Ben) Miller, Verna (Eli) Keim and Katie (Levi Jr.) Schlabach, all of Frederickburg, Leroy (Anna Mae) Yoder of Walhonding, Ervin (Lydia Ann) Yoder and Harry (Ruth) Yoder, both of Fredericksburg; 78 grandchildren; 269 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons-in-law, Dan Troyer and John Troyer; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters; and a brother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 9:30 am at the Ivan Schlabach residence, 8769 Township Road 614, Fredericksburg, with Bishop Henry Yoder officiating.  Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Holmes County.  Friends may call anytime at the Ivan Schlabach residence.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
