Liechty, Martha Joanna (Kratzer)
Martha Joanna (Kratzer) Liechty, 86, of Kidron, entered Heaven on Sunday, May 2, 2021, peacefully with family by her side. Joanna was born near Kidron on October 3, 1934 to the late John and Martha (Moser) Kratzer. She graduated from Dalton High School in 1953 and married Wayne J. Liechty on October 6, 1956 and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Debra (Denny) Hendrix, Craig (Mary) Liechty and Ron (Laurie) Liechty; grandchildren, Joshua (Steph) Hendrix, Jamie (Jon) Horst and Martha and Henry Liechty; great grandchildren, Brady and Mia Hendrix and James Horst; sisters, Gilda (Nafziger) Lehman and Virginia (Dana) Brooks.
She still mourns the sudden death of her son, Randal. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Stanley, Loyal, John, Ed, Wayne, and Leland; and sisters, Eileen and Grace.
Joanna loved her family and her faith in God. She was a wonderful homemaker, good cook, loved her flowers, supporting her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in their many interests. She also loved reunions, mushroom hunting, and Indians baseball.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday May 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at Kidron Mennonite Church with Pastor Carl Wiebe officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
